I was very surprised when things went very wrong for Earth, but very glad that Bobs were there to save the human species. Then toss in Medieros, an AI bent on destruction. The human FAITH group was very believable, treating Bob as an object to own instead of a sentient being. We get a Will Riker-like Bob, Homer, Howard, and others. And due to numerous threats, Bob replicates quickly to basically form a cadre of Bobs to solve these difficult issues. Bob of course is who the first AIs are based on.
